GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Along County Home Road there is a fan-favorite spot in Pitt County where you can find almost anything you need, and it’s locally made.

The Leroy James Farmer’s Market is coming off a successful summer season and will be back on Saturdays with fall products available for the community.

“We had a great, great season, the summer holidays where we’re bustling, lots of good traffic and a lot of our vendors were having a lot of successful sales and things like that,” Pitt County Resource Conservation Specialist Hannah Smith said. “So moving into fall, we’re just looking forward to seeing that kind of hold out and people still coming to visit.”

Smith added that you can expect new crops this time around. You’ll start to see cabbage and collard greens and you’ll keep seeing beets, bell-peppers, carrots, and more of the usual Thanksgiving ‘necessities.’
