Man charged with murder in fatal Goldsboro shooting

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a shooting Friday morning after 8 a.m. at a home on S. Slocumb Street.

Upon arriving, officers found a man, Joshua Shabazz Faison, 22, suffering from gunshot wounds. Wayne County EMS workers responded and Faison was pronounced dead at the scene.

At around 10:28 a.m., At approximately 10:28 a.m., a suspect, Darrian Louis, was taken into custody. Louis was charged with first degree murder and was jailed without bond in the Wayne County Detention Center.
