    Two shot in Jacksonville, multiple suspects arrested

    JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers responded to a shooting in the area of Liberty Drive and Corbin Street in Jacksonville Friday.

    Jacksonville Police Department officials said it happened at 3:11 p.m. They said two people were shot and the victims’ identities are not being released at this time.

    An unknown number of suspects have been taken into custody.

    “This is still an active and ongoing investigation and more information will be released as
    it is available,” Jacksonville Police Investigative Services Lieutenant Ashley Potter said. “This was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public. We ask that if anyone has any information, please contact us.”

    Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact JPD Detective Rodriquez
    at (910)938-1041 or jrodriquez@jacksonvillenc.gov or Crime Stoppers at 910-938-3273. Crime
    Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $2,500 for information determined to be of value to law
    enforcement.

    Authorities say through the investigation, Niyssim Rogers, Diates Arnold, and Jimmy Carol Rochelle Jr. were identified as shooting suspects.
