    Four charged in connection to Jacksonville shooting

    JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Four suspects have been charged in connection to a shooting in the area of Liberty Drive and Corbin Street in Jacksonville Friday.

    Upon arriving, officers found that two people had been shot. Both were taken to the hospital and were listed with conditions of stable. Through an investigation, four people were charged.

    Niyssim Rogers, of Jacksonville, was charged with:

    • Three counts attempted first degree murder
    • Two counts assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury
    • Two counts assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury
    • Felony conspiracy

    Rogers was jailed without bond.

    Diates Arnold, of Jacksonville, was charged with:

    • Three counts attempted first degree murder
    • Two counts assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury
    • Two counts assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury
    • Felony conspiracy

    Arnold was also jailed without bond.

    Jimmy Carol Rochelle Jr., of Maple Hill, was charged with:

    • Three counts attempted first degree murder
    • Two counts assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury
    • Two counts assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury
    • Felony conspiracy

    Rochelle was also jailed without bond.

    A fourth suspect, a juvenile, was also arrested. The investigation is still active and ongoing and officers with the Jacksonville Police Department ask anyone with information to contact them.
