    13-year-old identified as suspect of breaking and entering in Kinston

    KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Around 1 a.m. on Monday, officers on D-Squad responded to a breaking and entering on Greenbriar Road.

    Officers arrived on scene and saw that the front door had been broken into. They were immediately able to identify the suspect as a 13-year-old Kinston resident. Officers made their way to the juvenile’s home to speak to the suspect and his mother.

    They were able to recover evidence and stolen property from the juvenile. Officers are currently working with Juvenile Justice to obtain juvenile petitions/ secured custody.
