    Goldsboro man faces up to life in prison after charges of trafficking methamphetamine

    NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) — A federal jury convicted a Goldsboro man on three charges of trafficking methamphetamine.

    Tamarcus Shaquan Ellis, 34, is facing up to life in prison when sentenced in December. According to court records and evidence presented at trial, agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were investigating Ellis as part of an operation that targeted crystal methamphetamine dealers in Goldsboro and Jacksonville in 2021.

    He was convicted of a conspiracy to distribute and posses with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and two county of distributing five grams or more of methamphetamine.
