Deputies: Officer-involved shooting in Currituck County

CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — The Currituck County Sheriff’s office announced they are working an active officer-involved shooting investigation on Saturday.

The incident occurred near Worth Guard Road where there were two active scenes on Saturday night.

A neighbor said he witnessed the events and said he saw two BMW’s speeding down the street, followed by police. The neighbor said he heard around two gunshots.

No additional details have been released. This is a breaking story and will be updated as more information comes in.
