WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) — The Beaufort County Animal Shelter has a six-month-old Walker/Hound mix available for adoption.

Hope was brought in by a family who found her as a stray. The family took care of her for a short time and was able get her vaccinations.

Danielle Perry, Animal Control Officer, said Hope has a lot of energy and loves to run around. The shelter staff believes she has lived outside most of her life and isn’t as comfortable with walking on a leash.

“She needs to work on leash training and housebreaking,” said Perry. “You know, she should be easy to train, she seems to be treat motivated.”

    Hope’s adoption fee is $75.
