GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — A 74-year-old male was killed in a car crash Wednesday night in Greenville. He has now been identified as Robert Wright.

Wright was walking on a crosswalk near Murphy Gas on Hooker Road when he was struck by a sedan driven by 20-year-old Zayn Sneed. Officers with the Greenville Police Department responded around 8:30 p.m.

Sneed cooperated with police and has now been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
