    Kinston man arrested on two drug charges after traffic stop

    KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — A Kinston man received two drug charges after a traffic stop on Friday.

    The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit directed a traffic stop on 40-year-old Vincent Herring. Following the stop, detectives found one gram of methamphetamine and 2.2 grams of marijuana. Herring was arrested and charged with felony possession of Schedule II and simple possession of marijuana.

    Herring was transported to the Lenoir County Jail where he received a $5,000 secured bond.
