    Man killed in Asheville shooting, police say

    ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – A man died Monday night after a shooting occurred at a home in Asheville.

    According to the Asheville Police Department, officers arrived at Allen Avenue at around 5:44 p.m. after getting a report of a gunshot wound.

    Upon arrival, officers found a man who had been shot.

    The unidentified man was taken to Mission Hospital, where he later died. Police said that they are still working to confirm the man’s identity and next-of-kin notifications.
