Local students attend Greene County Job Fair

GREENE COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — In Greene County, people and businesses came out for the county’s third job fair.

Local businesses gathered at the Greene County Wellness Center Tuesday to give out their information and meet potential employees. This gives the citizens of Greene County a chance to branch out and network with future job opportunities.

The county has seen an increased turnout at each one of its job fairs. Students from Greene Central High School got to attend the job fair as well.

“And we do a lot of these events. But, when it’s a county-based, I think it’s really important for all these companies to meet people, for the people to come out and have an opportunity to see what’s available. So, it’s a very good thing to do,” U.S. Department of Agriculture Resource Management Specialist Tim Carter said.

The job fair allows students and citizens of the county to not only network and meet potential employers, but also to find out what it takes to do well in an interview and how to build a proper resume.
