GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The North Carolina High School Athletic Association came to East Carolina University Wednesday morning as part of state-wide regional meetings.

The board of directors for the association came to speak with the coaches, athletic directors and a wide variety of school officials about developments happening in athletics in North Carolina. The meeting covered playoffs, officials, realignment and more. Its purpose is to help those coaches and athletic directors in the area and across the state that are working to motivate and inspire their athletes.

“I’m really excited to hear about realignment, it’s very cool that they come and do this and we can all be in the same place to learn about what’s coming that year,” J.H. Rose High School Athletic Director Clay Medlin said.

The board of directors finishes regional meetings Thursday in Cary.
