GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal crash on NC 11 Wednesday afternoon.

Kinston resident Robert Earl Jones was travelling South on the highway in a golf cart when Pink Hill resident Larry Wayne Hall failed to reduce his speed, colliding into Jones. Jones and his passenger, Marjorie Ann Jones, were both thrown from the cart. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Hall was charged with failure to reduce speed and two counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle.
