    Two Kinston residents arrested for larceny

    KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Kinston Police Department arrested two people for shoplifting from Harbor Freight.

    On September 23, officers arrived at Harbor Freight in Kinston after they received a report on shoplifting. The suspects left the scene before officers arrived.

    Kinston resident Eddie Mills was stopped near Sloan Street and detained. Two other people were detained along with Mills. Mills was identified as one of the shoplifting suspects after an investigation.

    Officers were also able to identify the second suspect as Kinston resident Thomas Westcott. He was found shortly after Mills near Lewis Lane.

    Both suspects were arrested. Mills was charged with felony aid and abet larceny and Westcott was charged with felony larceny and larceny from merchant emergency door. Both men were taken to the Lenoir County Jail.
