    Suspect in July shooting arrested in Goldsboro

    GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Goldsboro Police Department arrested a suspect in a shooting incident that occurred in July.

    On July 17, officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert located on Audubon Avenue. The alert reported that 61 rounds had been fired. Once officers arrived, they discovered that several cars were damaged from gunshots. Multiple suspects had been seen firing at a group of people on Olivia Lane. Seven of the victims were identified. One suspect was identified after an investigation, and seven warrants of attempted first degree murder and two counts injury to personal property were secured for Jahari Hardy.

    Hardy was arrested on September 23, on Artesa Drive with the help of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigation. Hardy is being held in the Wayne County Jail with no bond.
