    Vanceboro man arrested on drug trafficking charges

    VANCEBORO, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Craven County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Bureau arrested a Vanceboro man on drug trafficking charges.

    The SIB division of the sheriff’s office partnered with the New Bern Police Department and North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement to investigate the sale and distribution of narcotics in Vanceboro. The investigation started on Thursday, September 26.

    A search warrant was obtained for the residence of 42-year-old Robert Brinson Moore Jr. The search resulted in 25 grams of methamphetamine, 8 grams of fentanyl, four guns and $1,083 being found.

    Moore was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession with the intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Moore was taken to the Craven County Detention Center and given a $600,000 secured bond.
