    Two Kinston residents arrested for allegedly stealing credit cards

    KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Kinston Police Department arrested two men in connection with a robbery.

    Officers responded to reports of a stolen wallet and credit cards on September 22. The report said that the suspects tried to use the stolen cards at a local convenience store. After investigating, officers identified two suspects and secured warrants for their arrests.

    Jarret Edwards, 36 years old and from Kinston, was arrested on September 25, and charged with obtaining property by false pretense, resisting a public officer and financial card fraud.

    Simon Johnson, 40 years old and from Kinston, was arrested on September 26, and charged with felony conspiracy, resisting a public officer and possession of stolen goods.
