Woman dead, 2 deputies injured from strong winds, fallen tree in Craig County

CRAIG COUNTY, Va. ( WFXR ) – The National Weather Service and Craig County Emergency Manager have reported that severe weather associated with Hurricane Helene is responsible for one death and injuring two others in Craig County.

Details are currently limited; however, according to reports, strong gusty winds near Abbott blew over a barn and a large tree, killing a woman and then injuring two deputies who were on the scene to investigate the incident.
