    Several streets closed due to flooding in Belhaven

    BELHAVEN, N.C. (WNCT) — The Belhaven Police Department has had to close several streets in the town due to flooding.

    Barricades have been put up as some roads are completely covered by water. Road conditions will be monitored.

    People are asked to not drive in these areas. People who drive through flood waters could face a fine for violating a town ordinance.

    Officials in the town ask for patience and extra planning from the community.
