    UPDATE: All lanes of Highway 70 in Morehead City reopen following multi-vehicle crash

    UPDATE #2 (WCNT) – All lanes of Highway 70/Arendell Street reopened around 3:10 p.m. Saturday afternoon following a major crash.

    A town spokesperson said all three vehicles had been removed from the scene. The collision happened near the Yacht Basin around 2:00 p.m.

    No information was provided on the extent of injuries of those involved in the wreck.

    UPDATE #1 (WNCT) – A Morehead City official confirmed to WNCT that three vehicles were involved in the collision on Highway 70/Arendell Street .

    At 2:55 p.m. Saturday, Morehead City police remained on scene as cleanup of the wreck continued.

    The crash happened near the Morehead City Yacht Basin, a city spokesperson said.

    WNCT is awaiting additional details as the extent of injuries to those involved has not been released.

    MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WNCT) – A wreck in Morehead City caused traffic delays on a busy roadway along the Crystal Coast Saturday afternoon.

    According to a Facebook post, traffic was reduced to one lane in each direction of Highway 70 near the North Carolina State Port of Morehead City due to a multi-vehicle collision.

    Emergency crews were on the scene around 2:10 p.m. with significant travel delays in the area.

    Town officials did not provide information regarding any possible injuries due to the wreck.
