    Kinston man arrested for possessing almost five pounds of methamphetamine

    LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Kinston man on drug charges Saturday.

    Deputies were working on traffic enforcement in La Grange when they pulled over 36-year-old Marquis Myers for a traffic infraction. A probable cause search was performer, uncovering almost five pounds of methamphetamine and four pounds of marijuana.

    Myers was arrested and charged with two charges of trafficking methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and/or deliver marijuana and felony possession of marijuana. Myers was also on probation, prompting no bond to be given. He was taken to the Lenoir County Jail.
