GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — If you’ve been driving around here in Eastern NC, specifically in Greenville, you may have passed by signs for donation drop-off sites to help out those affected by Hurricane Helene.

Uptown Brewing Company is using their space as a donation drop spot as well. They not only will be collecting supplies for Western North Carolinians, but they will also be donating half the proceeds made from their Oktoberfest event toward relief efforts.

“We’re just trying to collect whatever we can to help. Batteries, flashlights, non-perishables, water, towels, blankets, cleaning supplies, anything,” Head Brewer and Manager Drew Cheshire said. “Just to help them out in their relief effort, their cleanup efforts.”

Uptown Brewing will also be accepting cash donations, but if you can’t make it to their store, you can donate directly to “Beloved-Asheville” on social media.
