Beaufort County Job and Resource Fair engages jobseekers

BEAUFORT COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — The Beaufort County Job and Resource Fair took place Wednesday for people to engage with job seekers and our future workforce.

Multiple Beaufort County high schools visited the fair. Later in the day, the event was opened up to a public session so that grown-up job seekers could stop by as well.

“It helps develop that pipeline for students who are in high school. It helps them focus on what training they need, perhaps for future careers,” Beaufort County Economic Development Director Susan Squires said. “It could be an after school job or it could be something that they could take from apprenticeship into a trade school.”

The event is put on by the Beaufort County Workforce Development team and is the third job fair since last October.
