GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – Investigators with Goldsboro Police searched for clues Saturday night after two people were wounded in shootings.

According to a news release, police responded to the 1100 block of Olivia Lane around 6:45 p.m. Saturday following alerts from the department’s gunfire detection system. Around the same time, Goldsboro Police received 9-1-1 calls from citizens reporting a gunshot victim. Police found a 53-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.  He was flown to ECU Health in Greenville and was listed in critical condition.

A short time later, police said a 16-year-old arrived at the emergency room at UNC Health Wayne. The teenager also had been shot. His injuries were non-life threatening, and he was listed in stable condition, the news release stated.

Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau launched an investigation. No arrests had been made Saturday night.

Anyone with information about the shootings were asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255.
