Law enforcement investigating shooting in Kinston, one victim taken to hospital

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Kinston police officers responded to reports of a shooting Wednesday night around 8 p.m. in the area of Jack Rountree Apartments.

Officers were told the victim was taken to UNC Lenoir hospital. They made contact with the juvenile victim at the hospital. The victim had suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the form of a gunshot wo the right arm.

Officers are still investigating the shooting. Anyone with any information on the shooting is asked to call 252-939-4020 or 252-523-4444.
