Jacksonville woman arrested on insurance fraud charges

ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — A Jacksonville woman has been arrested for insurance fraud.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced on Friday that 28 year old Kristen Elisabeth Fioriti had been arrested. Allegedly, Fioriti had an accident while her insurance was lapsed, though she reported to Peak Property and Casualty Insurance Corp. that her accident occurred after she reinstated her policy. The incident occurred on May 30.

Fioriti was arrested by deputies with the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office and was released shortly after on a $5,000 secured bond. She is set to appear in court on October 23.
