Surf City Police Department searches business for illegal items

SURF CITY, NC (WNCT) — The Surf City Police Department executed a search warrant at Island Smoke after an extensive investigation.

During the search, officers discovered and seized a significant amount of illegal items from the business. Through investigation, officers determined that Island Smoke was involved in selling narcotics, products sold to underage individuals and other illegal activity.

Dante Belandres, owner of Island Smoke, has pending arrest charged for related illegal sales and the Surf City Police Department is pursuing his apprehension.
