    Greenville Police Department investigating fatal shooting at gas station

    GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Greenville Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that took place Sunday night.

    On Oct. 13, Greenville PD received a call reporting shots fired at the Sheetz on Moye Blvd. Officers arrived and found Demetrius Jabar Pugh, 47, of Windsor, suffering from gunshot wounds. Pugh was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

    According the GPD, detectives believe the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute. The people involved have been identified.

    Detectives will be talking with the District Attorney’s Office to determine the charges. This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to call GPD Major Crimes Detective Donaldson, 252-329-3521.
