AYDEN, N.C. (WNCT) — North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson hosted a meet and greet Monday at Bum’s Restaurant in Ayden.

Robinson’s visit comes as the days count down for the 2024 election. After a CNN story resurfaced regarding online comments made by Robinson on an adult film site, Robinson and his campaign said they plan to sue the organization Tuesday.

Along with the update on his feud with CNN, he also said he plans to help the Western part of the state get out and vote.

“We’re working with folks at the national level, at the state level and at the local level to ensure that the polls are open,” Robinson said. “But the bigger issue is travel up there is still kind of tricky for folks. So, we’re going to see if we can organize help to organize some folks that can get people back and forth to the polls. That’s going to be a crucial issue.”

Robinson is running for Governor against Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein.
