GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The general election takes place in 21 days, but early voting starts soon.

Beginning October 17 through November 2, you can participate in early in-person voting. During this period, voters can cast a ballot at any early voting site in their county, different from actual Election Day when registered voters must vote at their assigned polling place.

You can also do same-day registration at early voting sites and can update your name or address within the same county if necessary. Voters who receive an absentee ballot by mail may deliver their ballot to their county board of elections office or to an election official at an early voting site during the time period that it is open.
