GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — ECU’s football team is preparing for its biggest test of the season Saturday, a road game against undefeated No. 23 Army.

The Pirates are coming off a bye week and are not long-removed from a blowout loss at Charlotte.

They are 3-3 on the season and they know knocking off the Black Knights could be a huge momentum boost.

“You prepare for a team like Army or any other school, it starts on the mental side,” ECU Defensive Lineman Elijah Morris said. “You gotta match their physicality but at the same time, you have to be disciplined enough to understand what your job is and do your job.”
