Man dies after motorcycle crashes in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Jacksonville Police Department responded to the scene of a motorcycle crash on Thursday night.

During investigation officers deduced that a motorcycle driven by Donovan Holliday was riding southeast on Gum Branch Road when the front of the motorcycle crashed into the rear of a Toyota Highlander. The Highlander was making a left turn on White Oak Street from the center lane.

Holliday was take to the Naval Medical Center at Camp Lejeune where he would later succumb to his injuries that he sustained from the crash.

The investigation is still open.
