    Three Greenville residents die in highway car crash

    GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a car crash involving three Greenville residents on Sunday.

    The crash happened on Ballards Crossroads Rd. in Pitt County at 12:54 am. A Toyota was driving on US 13 when they crossed over the centerline, overcorrected and travelled off the road to the right.

    The Toyota then ran into a ditch and brick driveway and turned over. The driver and two passengers were not wearing seatbelts, causing them to ejected from the car. All three people were pronounced dead at the scene.
