Families without power collecting water, ice in Pinconning

consumer power company didn't notify everyone. I found out about this Thursday night at 730pm. we were without power for 4 days. it just came on at 6pm today Friday. consumer power send update status of when the power may be back on. Why can't they send notifications when they do something like give out water and ice. it would have been nice to get some water.
