BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The LSU Tigers lost a closely fought battle to the USC Trojans in Las Vegas for the Vegas Kickoff Classic.

LSU started the game by marching down the field 79 yards before failing to convert on 4th & Goal from the 3-yard line.

Neither team scored in the first quarter, but USC was able to get in the end zone first, with an 8-play, 87-yard drive into the endzone, making it 7-0.

LSU answered right back, on the next drive, with a Kyren Lacy touchdown catch that capped a 75-yard drive to make it 7-7.

The Tigers & Trojans went to the half in a 10-10 tie.

Trailing 13-10 late in the third quarter, the Tigers orchestrated a 7-play scoring drive, giving LSU its first lead of the game on a 13-yard touchdown catch from Aaron Anderson (first of his LSU career). That drive gave the Bayou Bengals a 17-13 lead.
