Pineville murder suspect arrested in Alexandria

PINEVILLE, La. ( WNTZ ) — A suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred on October 16, 2024, was apprehended by authorities on Thursday . Jacorius Issac, 23, was arrested at approximately 3:30 p.m. at a residence on Gordon Street in Alexandria, according to the Pineville Police Department.

Issac, who was wanted in connection with the shooting of 27-year-old Monashia Marzett at Cleco Drive Apartments, was located with the assistance of the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Alexandria Police Department. The 2014 white Nissan Altima Issac used to flee the scene was also recovered.

Issac was taken into custody without incident, and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have urged anyone with additional information to contact the Pineville Police Department at (318) 442-6603, Ext. 1.
