Windsor Town Board completes appointments to fill vacant seats
Kenneth Symsack was appointed to the Windsor Town Board this week to fill the vacancy created last month when Julie Cline was appointed mayor. A vote to appoint Symsack, who has lived in Windsor for seven years, to the seat representing District 4 was held during a special meeting of the Town Board Monday night, according to a news release Thursday from Town Clerk Karen Frawley. Symsack was administered the oath of office shortly after the vote, making his appointment official.
Greeley Hotel Construction Halted As Lien Payments Are Arranged
Construction has come to a standstill in Greeley for a hotel project as more than $2 million in liens have been filed for unpaid bills. According to the Greeley Tribune, two different owners have attempted to build a Residence Inn hotel at the site at 2495 28th St. The first ownership group, Texas-based Insignia Hospitality Group, bought the property for $1.1 million, but nothing ever happened. Now, Larry Williams, senior owners’ representative for Galaxy Hotels, said the Greeley project is on hold for the next 45 to 60 days while the group finds a new general contractor and pays the liens that have been filed.
