ROSEBURG GETS SIGNIFICANT RAIN FRIDAY
August 24, 2024 6:00 a.m. Roseburg got a significant amount of rain on Friday. Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the rain gage at the Roseburg Regional Airport measured .85 inches of rain between 12:00 a.m. Friday and 12:00 a.m. Saturday. Most of that rain fell in the evening hours. The last time the Umpqua Valley saw about that much rain in 24 hours was on May 4th when the airport received .84 inches of precipitation.

In a unanimous decision on August 21, 2024, the Grants Pass City Council voted 8-0 to purchase 8.3 acres of land in northwest Grants Pass.
