War Dogs baseball face Northeast Kekiongas at Indiana Tech
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The U.S. Military War Dogs made a stop in Fort Wayne on Friday as part of their national tour. The War Dogs started in 2018 as a baseball program aiming to raise funds and awareness for veterans with PTSD and other post-service issues. They work by taking their best military-affiliated players and competing against collegiate teams across the nation.

Richard “Dean” Kauffman, 91, Goshen, died Monday, July 15, at Waterford Crossing Health Campus. He was born September 19, 1932 in Topeka. He is survived by two sisters, ClaraMae (Don) Gingerich of Kouts and J. Arlene (Dennis) Schrock of Florida; a brother, Kenneth D. (Carole) Kauffman of Marion; his daughters Jennifer (Jeff) Longenbaugh of Middlebury, and Cynthia Kauffman of Chandler, Arizona; one granddaughter; and one great grandson.
