Farmer Finishers: Hot, Hot, Hot
When someone tells you to be cool, they're not kidding. In Farmer Finishers this week, a word of caution: anything and everything will start a fire. I responded to one this week at the shooting range north of Billings. Anything could trigger a blaze that we could end up fighting for months. They are starting to get a handle on some of the largest fires in Montana. In the Lewis and Clark Forest, they have one about 25% contained, and the same with the one in Rosebud County. They did open the Tongue Reservoir but are advising it’s smoky, as you can imagine.

Columbia Falls' Azzy Lara and Corvallis' Cash Trexler were among the top performers from Montana as the National High School Finals Rodeo concluded in Wyoming.
