Bainum Family Foundation commits $100 million to early education
The Bainum Family Foundation has announced a five-year, $100 million commitment to early childhood education. The largest investment in the history of the foundation will expand its geographic reach beyond Florida and Washington, D.C. Through initiatives including WeVision EarlyEd, the foundation will use its resources to define ideal child care and make it real for families now and in the future. Marco’s Pizza closes location in southern Loudoun
The Marco’s Pizza restaurant in the South Riding/Chantilly area of southern Loudoun has closed its doors for good. The announcement was made today via social media. “It is with a heavy heart I inform you that Marco’s Pizza in South Riding has permanently closed for business as of yesterday,” co-owner Chris Browne wrote. “It has been a pleasure serving the community over the last seven years. Unfortunately, we were just unable to keep up with rising costs and have reached a point where staying in business has become unsustainable.”
