New in NoVa: Immigrant Food opening first Virginia location
A trendy DC-based restaurant brand is expanding for the first time into Northern Virginia. It’s called Immigrant Food and it’s coming to Ballston over in Arlington. Immigrant Food already has three locations in Washington. Now, it’s latest restaurant will open this Tuesday, July 23 at 4245 North Fairfax Drive. That’s at the global headquarters for The Nature Conservancy.
‘Foggy Bottom Stalker’ | Police arrest man accused of stalking woman in DC
WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that officers took a man, whom some dubbed the “Foggy Bottom Stalker,” into custody on July 21. Police said 39-year-old Delonta Deon Spriggs of Northeast is accused of stalking a woman in the Foggy Bottom and Georgetown community in Northwest D.C.

Theatre Review: ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘The Rover, or the Banish’d Cavaliers’ presented by Shakespeare Theatre Company Academy
For the first time in its 24 years in existence, Shakespeare Theatre Company is presenting the final performances of the STC Academy’s Master of Fine Arts program on one of the theatre’s main stages. The Repertory productions are Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” and the 1677 Restoration comedy, “The Rover, or the Banish’d Cavaliers,” by Aphra Benn. The actors in this year’s class are strong talents, and we can expect to see them trodding the boards at STC and other top theatres in no time. With few exceptions, they prove to be exceptional performers. That said, the two shows selected for the Academy Summer Repertory have a few issues.
