What inspired the Aldi seasonal drinks?

Aldi's selection of adult beverages is where the chain really shines. This year, they’ve taken inspiration from one of their popular products — the advent calendars. These fan favorites, often selling out within days each November, also guided Aldi’s seasonal beverage offerings for 2023. They include a wide array of delicious foods, from cheese to chocolate and, of course, booze. And get this: customers helped determine this year's offerings of Aldi seasonal drinks.

First, let’s talk about the beer. Thanks to a customer poll, two standout brews from the 2023 advent calendar are making a solo comeback. First up, the State of Brewing Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter, brewed in Waunakee, Wisconsin. This indulgent porter is both sweet and strong, with hints of coffee and mocha that make it a must-try. And at just $8.99 for a six-pack, it’s as budget-friendly as it is tasty. Mark your calendars for October 4, because that’s when this beer hits the shelves.

Not to be outdone, the State of Brewing Holiday Ale is also making a return. Slightly lighter at 5.6% alcohol by volume (ABV), this malt beverage is brimming with flavors like cinnamon, ginger and orange peel. It’s the kind of beer that feels like a warm hug on a chilly night. It will also drop October 4 for $7.99.

Wine enthusiasts, this one’s for you

Beer isn’t the only thing on the Aldi seasonal drinks menu. Wine lovers will be thrilled with the new wine additions, all under $15. Get ready for the Cremant d’Alsace, a sparkling wine made in the traditional Champagne style but without the hefty price tag. Using Pinot Blanc grapes, this French bubbly is perfect for anyone who wants a taste of affordable luxury.

Next, Aldi is venturing into new territory with its first-ever Oregon wine, the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Apparently, the Pacific Northwest is quickly becoming a hotspot for wine lovers, and this wine is a testament to that.

And let’s not forget the Chianti Riserva, a rich, full-bodied wine hailing from the beautiful Chianti region in Tuscany, Italy. Aged for 24 months, this wine is all about giving you a taste of Italy without leaving your kitchen.
