Cornell has become a hot bed for the best blueliners in North America recently, and that trend continues this year. Their blueline last year featured Rory Guilday, Grace Dwyer, Piper Grober, Sarah MacEachern, Ashley Messier, and Alyssa Regalado who had all represented Canada or USA at the U-18 national team level, with Guilday being a regular on USA's senior national team blueline.

This year they add to that depth with Rose Dwyer. Cornell is also bringing over Delaney Fleming as a transfer from Ohio State

Cornell is also losing Patty Kazmaier winner Izzy Daniel, who was selected 18th overall by PWHL Toronto in the 2024 PWHL Draft.

Here's a look at Cornell's incoming recruiting class for the 2024-2025 NCAA women's hockey season.

Rose Dwyer, D, 2006 - She's big, experienced, and joins a program already staring her older sister Grace. Dwyer is mobile and played a key role in USA's gold medal win at the 2023-2024 U-18 World Championships. Not as much offense as older sister Grace, yet, but Rose's 5-foot-10 frame is an unteachable asset. Dwyer played with Bishop Kearney this year.

Lindzi Avar, F, 2005 - A member of USA's 2023 U-18 national team, Avar comes to Cornell after serving as a captain with the highly regarded Minnetonka High School program. With Minnetonka, Avar led the program with 55 points, including 23 goals in 31 games this season. She was one of five finalists for Minnesota's prestigious Ms. Hockey Award this season, and brings another 5-foot-10 frame into Cornell's lineup.
