Team USA has named a lineup featuring current senior national team members and NCAA stars to their National Development Team which will face Canada in a three game series this month .

Senior national team standouts including 2023 USA Hockey Player of the Year Caroline Harvey, and 2024 World Championship MVP Laila Edwards headline the roster. They'll be joined by senior national team members Kirsten Simms, Haley Winn, Tessa Janecke, Lacey Eden, Rory Guilday, and Joy Dunne . Sydney Morrow was also named to the roster after she attended the 2024 World Championships as an alternate.

The lineup stands in contrast to Canada's lineup, which does not feature any member of Canada's senior national team. Anne Cherkowski appeared in the Rivalry Series with Canada as the only member of Canada's roster with senior national team experience.

In net for Team USA will be the trio of Annelies Bergmann, Amanda Thiele, and Callie Shanahan.

On the blueline joining Guilday, Winn, Harvey, and Morrow are Vivian Jungels, Grace Dwyer, Emma Peschel, and Laney Potter.

Up front, along with Dunne, Eden, Janecke, Simms, and Edwards, USA's roster features Emma Gentry, Cassie Hall, Peyton Hemp, Ella Huber, Skylar Irving, Sloane Matthews, and Kiara Zanon.

The lineup is a departure from USA's past National Development Team rosters that featured more up and coming players. Absent from the roster are Casey O'Brien, who had offseason surgery, and USA national team member Abbey Murphy who is also still in the NCAA.

Team USA swept the series last year. They'll open the 2024 series against Canada at the Canada Games Park in Thorold, Ontario on August 14, followed by games on August 15 and August 17 to close out the series.
