PWHL New York has signed Colgate netminder Kayle Osborne, their fifth round pick in the 2025 PWHL Draft to a three year contract.

“We’re thrilled to confirm our long-term agreement with Kayle as she joins an excellent goaltending duo, bringing quality and stability to the team and our fans for the coming seasons at this key position,” said PWHL New York General Manager Pascal Daoust. “While playing a technical game, Kayle is especially explosive and powerful, making her a goaltender who consistently battles and competes for pucks, even the ones that seem impossible to stop. Around her net she excels at playing the puck, giving the team the advantage of an extra player on the ice.”

Osborne was selected in the fifth round, 28th overall by New York in the 2024 PWHL Draft. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, the 22-year-old recently graduated from Colgate University and developed her game under current PWHL New York Head Coach, Greg Fargo, where she recorded a .927 save percentage in 92 games played with the Colgate Raiders. Prior to Colgate, Osborne won a U18 Women’s National Championship gold medal with Team Ontario, as well as the silver medal at the 2020 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship.

“I am extremely excited to be spending the next three years in New York,” said Osborne. “The fans have been so welcoming, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play in front of them. I am looking forward to developing and growing my game alongside the staff in New York, as well as learning from two already amazing goaltenders.”

Osborne is the third member of the team’s 2024 PWHL Draft class to officially sign with New York, along with defender Maja Nylén Persson and forward Noora Tulus. Together, they join thirteen returnees including forwards Chloé Aurard, Alex Carpenter, Jade Downie-Landry, Jessie Eldridge, Élizabeth Giguère, Abby Roque and Jill Saulnier; defenders Jaime Bourbonnais, Brooke Hobson, Ella Shelton and Micah Zandee-Hart; and goaltenders Abbey Levy and Corinne Schroeder.
