Epic Hocus Pocus Cast Reunion in Nashville Under a Full Moon Weekend
It was a summer day in July of 1993 when one of our spookiest cult classic movies debuted in the theatres. The Hocus Pocus movie is not just a Disney movie that we watch every Halloween season. Hocus Pocus is a fandom all on its own. There are TikTok videos and channels dedicated to party themes and cosplay.

Indiana Military Museum to Host Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Day
The Indiana Miliatry Museum will host their first summer Vietnam Remembrance event this weekend, featuring displays, reenactments, memorabilia, and more. I've been to several events at the Indiana Military Museum over the years, and they never disappoint. The museum itself is located in Vincennes and features a massive collection of artifacts dating all the way back to the American Revolutionary War. The number of vehicles and displays the museum has is truly astounding, so if you're a history buff and have never paid a visit, I highly recommend you check it out. In fact, there is no better time than the present.
Look to the Sky This Weekend to See The Full Buck Moon – Here’s Why it’s Called That
The full Buck Moon will take place this weekend, but why is July's moon known as the Buck Moon?. I always have found the lunar phases fascinating. I think it's because the sun is always the sun. It looks the same every day (not that you should look directly at the sun, but you get what I'm saying). The moon, however, looks different every day. If you don't look often you may notice it's a crescent one day, but the next time you look it's a full moon. I even have a crescent moon tattooed on my arm because my son and I love to go out at night and see what the moon looks like, and it's one of my favorite little traditions we share. But if you're a fan of full moons, good news you'll get to experience July's full moon soon!

You know, the whole drive-in movie thing—it's kind of a rarity these days, but this place has kept that magic alive. It's actually one of the oldest drive-ins in the whole country.

This is the Most Popular Product from Indiana
What would you guess is the most popular product that comes from Indiana? You might be surprised by the answer. When you think of Indiana, you might think of it being a flyover state. Perhaps you associate it with corn or the Indianapolis Colts. Most people think of the Indianapolis 500. These are all examples of popular Indiana staples. However, when you think of great things that came from Indiana, what do you think of? I'm not talking about celebrities like Michael Jackson, John Mellencamp, or Larry Bird. I'm talking about products that people from all over the country and the world use on a day-to-day basis. The big question here is can you think of great products from Indiana?
Apparently, This is the Best Grocery Store in Kentucky
Have you ever been to the "best grocery store" in Kentucky? Let's find out. I don't know about you, but one of my least favorite things to do as an adult is to go grocery shopping. It costs so much to get so little nowadays. I'm sure you'll agree that when you go to the checkout to purchase your groceries, you are always shocked by the fact that you spent a whole lot of money even though your cart isn't even half full. Oh, and don't even get me started on the price of groceries in a full cart.
The City of Madisonville Hosts First Ever ‘Illuminated’ Hot Air Balloon Show
Fun news from Madisonville, Kentucky. At the end of next month, the city will host, for the first time ever, a hot air balloon show called Madisonville Illuminated. The event is reminiscent of a balloon festival that used to be held at the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden in Owensboro. For years, as part of the annual Dazzling Daylily Festival, the Botanical Garden also showcased hot air balloons with Balloons Over the Garden. There were many on display and floating above the property. They even offered tethered rides above the gardens, but also rides that launched from the grounds and flew across parts of Owensboro.
It’s National Hot Dog Day! Here’s Where You Can Celebrate in Owensboro
I don't need a reason to eat a hot dog, but today is a very special day that I will definitely be celebrating! It's National Hot Dog Day!. One of my best friends, Mercedez Varble, is also a fellow hot dog lover, so for the past few years we have celebrated with a gals glizzy night. The tradition has been big ole beef franks and ice cold beers from Brasher's Lil' Nashville. We listen to some awesome music, run into great friends, and get our buns a-dancin'.
Popular ‘Summer Fest’ Returns to Owensboro, KY with Fun Changes
Last year, My Sister's Keeper, Owensboro's newest emergency shelter for women and children, held its inaugural Summer Fest fundraiser at The Cottage, just outside the city limits. Summer Fest 2023 was an all day food and music festival that raised money for the shelter, which opened earlier this year at 2820 4th Street. This year, the hours of Summer Fest have been scaled back, but the event is still going to be action-packed- from start to finish- with food, fun and entertainment.

Brickyard 400 Returns to Indianapolis Oval for 30th Anniversary
The Brickyard 400 is back, with the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series returning to the Racing Capital of the World this weekend. I'm somewhat new to NASCAR, but I've quickly fallen in love with the motor sport. As a kid, I watched a race here and there but didn't follow the Cup Series wholeheartedly until the 2024 season. I've seen just about every race so far this year, and I'm really excited about where the next one is taking place. More so, I'm excited about watching the race, but this time it won't be on TV. Rather, I'll get to see the action live and in person.
