Brickyard 400 Returns to Indianapolis Oval for 30th Anniversary
The Brickyard 400 is back, with the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series returning to the Racing Capital of the World this weekend. I'm somewhat new to NASCAR, but I've quickly fallen in love with the motor sport. As a kid, I watched a race here and there but didn't follow the Cup Series wholeheartedly until the 2024 season. I've seen just about every race so far this year, and I'm really excited about where the next one is taking place. More so, I'm excited about watching the race, but this time it won't be on TV. Rather, I'll get to see the action live and in person.

Yelp Elites Claim This is the Best Fried Chicken in Indiana
The battle for the best fried chicken title continues in Indiana as Yelp Elites unveil their new favorite. Growing up in southern Indiana, fried chicken was a staple at my house. My family would usually order it from our local grocery store after church on Sunday, and it was always a meal I looked forward to. I've had a lot of great fried chicken over the years, so it's quite hard to pick a favorite. Some of the major chains that stick out in my mind are Church's Texas Chicken and Bojangles, but my regular go-to place is the JayC Food Store. That said, one restaurant in Indiana is now said to have the best fried chicken in the state.

Your spooky little heart will love all that this little city has to offer in the fall. It may be July, but the fall season is right around the corner. Pain at the Pump: Gas Prices On The Rise in Western Kentucky
Last week, the remnants of Hurricane Beryl plowed through western Kentucky and brought torrential downpours and tornado warnings to the area. Before it got to Kentucky, Beryl tore through the coast of Texas. That, combined with an incredibly busy 4th of July travel season and the fact that oil prices are still hovering over $80 per barrel, lead to a slight increase in the price of gas in our area. I suppose it's safe to say we're still seeing some of the 'remnants' of Hurricane Beryl. We felt his winds and rains as they passed through. We're still feeling him a bit at the pump.
