It's another week which means law enforcement officers in Texas are working hard to track down fugitives that are trying to evade their consequences. Recently our hard-working law enforcement officers in Wood County, Texas posted some fugitive photos online in hopes that some locals might know where these fugitives might be hiding.
'Great day for Hawkins': Wood County town hires new police chief
The Hawkins City Council voted during a tense meeting Monday to hire a veteran Texas law enforcement officer as the town’s police chief. The council voted 4-1 to hire Paul Holland, a retired law enforcement officer with 32 years of experience, as the town’s top cop. Holland has worked at the Dallas Police Department, Collin County Sheriff’s Office, Allen Police Department and Wood County Sheriff’s Office. He was sworn in as chief Tuesday.
Blood drives hosted in county
Two blood drives will be held in Wood County in the coming weeks. The first is Saturday, July 6 at Walmart in Mineola, NE Loop 564 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The next is Tuesday, July 16 at UT Health Hospital in Quitman, 117 N. Winnsboro from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Evidently, last week’s mission was a success as the Wood County Crime Stoppers – TEXAS Facebook page is at is again with 5 more fugitives that are wanted, and officers need your help getting them behind bars.
